Everything you need to know about Shabdly
Shabdly is an Indian word guessing game inspired by Wordle, but with Hinglish words. Every day, a new 5-letter word is released for all players to guess. Compete with players across India, climb the leaderboard, and build your streak!
You have 6 attempts to guess the daily 5-letter word. After each guess, the tiles change colour to show how close you are: green means the letter is correct and in the right position, amber means the letter is in the word but in the wrong position, and grey means the letter is not in the word.
The daily challenge resets at midnight IST (12:00 AM India Standard Time) every day. A brand new word is available for everyone at the same time.
Desi Coins are the in-game currency you earn by playing Shabdly. You can use them to buy hints (reveal a letter position), streak shields (protect your streak when you miss a day), and other in-game items from the Coin Shop.
Shabdly has three difficulty levels that change automatically throughout the week: Easy (Monday to Thursday), Medium (Friday and Saturday), and Hard (Sunday). Harder words earn more points!
Speed Rush is a 90-second countdown mode where you race against the clock to guess the word. It unlocks once you reach a 7-day streak. Speed Rush scores count towards the leaderboard and can earn you bonus Desi Coins.
Your score is calculated as: base score (determined by how many guesses you used) multiplied by a speed bonus (how fast you solved it) multiplied by a streak multiplier (longer streaks = higher multiplier). The fewer guesses and the faster you solve, the higher your score!
Hints reveal the correct letter in a specific position. Each hint costs 150 Desi Coins, and you can use a maximum of 2 hints per game. Use them wisely when you're stuck!
Streak Shields protect your consecutive-day streak when you miss a day. You can hold a maximum of 2 shields at a time. If you miss a day and have a shield, it will be automatically used to keep your streak alive. Buy them from the Coin Shop.
Players are ranked by their daily score. If two players have the same score, the tie is broken by completion time -- the faster solver ranks higher. There are daily, weekly, and all-time leaderboards.
The top 3 players on the daily leaderboard win prizes each day. Winners are determined by score and completion time. Results are finalised after the daily challenge resets at midnight IST.
Prizes include bonus Desi Coins, brand vouchers from popular Indian brands, and exclusive themes to customise your game. Prize pools vary by day and may include special rewards during festivals and tournaments.
You can purchase Desi Coins through Razorpay (for players in India, supporting UPI, cards, and net banking) or through Google Play Billing (for international players). Visit the Coin Shop in the app to see available coin packs.

Go to your Profile by tapping the profile icon, then tap on your display name to edit it. Your new name will appear on leaderboards and in tournaments.
Yes, you can delete your account permanently from your Profile. Go to Profile, scroll down to the Account section, and tap "Delete Account". This action is permanent and will remove all your data including game history, coins, and achievements. For more details, see our Account Deletion page.
