Bhavna Infotech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Shabdly mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect:

  • Email address
  • Display name
  • Profile picture URL (from your Google account)

Gameplay Data

We collect data related to your gameplay activity, including:

  • Game scores and results
  • Streak data (consecutive days played)
  • Desi Coins balance and transaction history
  • Leaderboard rankings
  • Tournament participation and results

Device Information

We may collect device information such as your device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for the purpose of app functionality and analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain game functionality
  • Display your profile on leaderboards
  • Send push notifications (game reminders, streak alerts, tournament updates)
  • Process in-app purchases and premium subscriptions
  • Improve and optimise the game experience
  • Detect and prevent cheating or abuse

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication - for user sign-in and account management
  • Google Analytics for Firebase - for app usage analytics and crash reporting
  • Google Play Billing - for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging - for push notifications

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the use of your information.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers using MySQL databases with encrypted connections. We use Redis for caching to improve performance. All data transmission between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights and prevent fraud
  • Public leaderboard data (display name, city, and scores are visible to other players)

6. Children's Privacy

Shabdly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

7. Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:

  • In-app: Go to Settings and tap "Delete Account"
  • Via email: Send a request from your registered email to delete@desichallenge.com

Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently remove all your personal data within 30 days. For more details, visit our Account Deletion page.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymous, aggregated gameplay statistics may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), secure server infrastructure, and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Shabdly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
