Bhavna Infotech ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Shabdly mobile application. This Refund Policy explains our guidelines for refunds and cancellations related to in-app purchases made within Shabdly.
1. In-App Purchases
Shabdly offers in-app purchases of virtual currency ("Desi Coins") through the following payment methods:
- Razorpay - for users in India (UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets)
- Google Play Billing - for international users and subscription purchases
Desi Coins can be used to purchase in-game items such as hints, shields, themes, and tournament entry fees.
2. Refund Eligibility
You may be eligible for a refund if all of the following conditions are met:
- The refund request is made within 7 days of the original purchase date
- The Desi Coins from the purchase have not been used (full coin balance from that purchase remains intact)
- The purchase was made from your own account and payment method
- No fraudulent activity is associated with the transaction
3. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Desi Coins that have already been spent on hints, shields, or power-ups
- Desi Coins used to purchase themes or cosmetic items
- Desi Coins used as tournament entry fees
- Partially used coin packs (if any coins from the pack have been spent)
- Promotional or bonus coins received as part of a purchase offer
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a Razorpay purchase, please follow these steps:
- Send an email to support@desichallenge.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your registered email address associated with your Shabdly account
- Include the payment ID or transaction reference number
- Provide the reason for your refund request
- Include the date of purchase and the coin pack purchased
5. Refund Processing Timeline
Once your refund request is received and approved:
- Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days from the date of approval
- The refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase
- You will receive a confirmation email once the refund has been processed
- The corresponding Desi Coins will be deducted from your account upon refund approval
6. Google Play Purchases
For purchases made through Google Play Billing:
- Refund requests are governed by the Google Play refund policy
- You can request a refund directly through the Google Play Store within the eligible timeframe
- Google may process the refund independently based on their own policies
- For Google Play refund issues, we recommend contacting Google Play Support directly
7. Subscription Refunds
For Shabdly Pro subscription purchases:
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds are provided for the remaining days of the current billing period
- You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of your paid period
- Auto-renewal can be turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
8. Disputed Transactions
If you believe a purchase was made without your authorisation or is the result of a billing error:
- Contact us immediately at support@desichallenge.com
- We will investigate and resolve the issue within 7 business days
- Unauthorised transactions will be refunded in full upon verification
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Shabdly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
